Private Workshop (Invite-Only)

This workshop puts the students at its center. Multi-Grammy-nominated vocalist Roberta Gambarini and pianist Tamir Hendelman — musical partners since their first meeting at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and collaborators on the acclaimed albums Easy to Love and So in Love — bring their decades of experience performing together across the US, Europe, and Japan to guide participants on a journey through song, rhythm, and harmony.

Working directly with the students, Roberta and Tamir will explore how to approach a song and honestly tell its story: the art of phrasing, the dialogue between voice and piano, and the freedom of spontaneous creation. They will share their insights on improvisation, storytelling, and finding your own personal way into a song — not by imitation, but by discovering what you alone have to say through the music.

Whether you are a vocalist, an instrumentalist, or simply a curious listener, you'll leave with practical tools and a deeper connection to the craft of making a song come alive. Featuring: Roberta Gambarini & Tamir Hendelman
